From Mold Design to Series Production: Our Product Development Process

Bringing a new accessory product to market begins with mold design. At Dikmen Metal, the product development process is a systematic chain that runs from the client's technical drawing or physical sample all the way through to series production.

In the first phase, the geometry of the product is modelled in three dimensions using SolidWorks software. Both aesthetic requirements and mechanical strength specifications are factored in at this stage. Once modelling is complete, the process moves to tooling design. Molds are manufactured to precise tolerances at CNC machining centres.

When the tooling is ready, the first pre-production samples are produced. These samples undergo dimensional inspection, tensile/pull testing, and plating performance testing. Following client approval, series production commences. Thanks to our extensive mold library, rapid lead times are achievable for standard designs.

In-house mold production at Dikmen Metal provides a critical advantage: external tooling costs are eliminated, revision lead times are shortened, and intellectual property is fully protected. For new product development enquiries, please contact our technical team.
